Who am I?
I’m the voice and spirit behind Vegan Travel Foodie. My journey began at the tender age of 13 with a solo trip to Israel, sparking a lifelong passion for exploration. Over 20 years as a plant-based enthusiast, I’ve navigated the world from the unique perspective of a single mom turned empty nester. My love for cultural anthropology drives me to delve deep into the communities I visit, embracing each new experience with open arms and an open heart. Meeting new people, exploring diverse landscapes, and sampling every plant-based dish I can find fuels my soul and this blog.
How I Travel and Where I Have Traveled To
Travel, for me, is about immersion. It’s about becoming a local wherever I go, from the bustling streets of the Netherlands to the serene beaches of the British Virgin Islands. My travels have taken me across the globe to France, Germany, Belgium, Israel, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Greece, Ireland, the UK, Hawaii, Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Each destination has been a chapter in my ongoing story of discovery, offering unique insights into plant-based living worldwide.
In every country, I seek out the essence of the local vegan scene, from hidden gems to celebrated eateries, ensuring every meal is an adventure in itself. My approach to travel is mindful and respectful, always aiming to tread lightly on the earth while embracing the vibrant tapestry of cultures our world has to offer.
